The Future
of MNfashion: Voltage:
Fashion Amplified will continue to be one of the major programs of MNfashion.
However, we have our sights set on building a sustainable and productive industry
in Minneapolis, with programs to eventually reach into other locations in
Minnesota.
Current
Goals (2008 and beyond):
*Offering workshops in categories such as patternmaking, sourcing and fashion
illustration.
*Connecting members to additional workshops and resources already offered,
such as business planning and development.
*Networking events.
*Career counseling and mentor opportunities.
*Serving as a hub for the fashion and textile/artist/professional organizations
already here in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
*Community collaboration and visibility.
Future Goals (3-5 years):
*Offering meeting and presentation space.
*Building an industrial work space.
*Sourcing and Production development.
